Angie Rosebelle (Martinez) Darrah

Angie Rosebelle Darrah, 77, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away June 11, 2024, at Sterling Village, Sterling, Kansas. She was born September 1, 1946, in Raton, New Mexico, the daughter Eli and Gasparita (Blea) Martinez. Angie was a lifelong Lyons resident. She was a homemaker and Certified Nurse Aide at Good Samaritan Society in Lyons for a few years when she was younger. Angie was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, knitting, and most of all spending time with her family. On February 24, 2007, Angie was united in marriage with Arnold Willis Darrah in Lyons. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2018. She is also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Joseph Horton; and brother, Lee Martinez Jr.. Angie is survived by her two daughters, Lenora Horton of Lyons, KS, and Julia Dill of Wichita, KS; sister, Delores Candelario of Lyons, KS; four grandchildren, Joshua Ruiz, Brandon Navarro and significate other Misty, Valarie White and husband Blake, and Jennifer Horton; four great-grandchildren, Gage, Oakley, Douglas, and Jameson; two stepsons, Craig Darrah and wife Sara of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Jim Darrah of Hutchinson, KS; stepdaughter, Wanita Johnson and husband Douglas of Hutchinson, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be given to Rice County Council on Aging in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
