Thomas Dean "Tommy" Prebble

Thomas Dean “Tommy” Prebble, 46, of Lyons, passed away December 9, 2017 in Lyons. He was born December 23, 1970 in Norton, KS, the son of Lawrence and Opal Long Prebble. Tommy graduated from Sterling High School with the class of 1988. He has resided in Lyons for the past three years, formerly of Sterling. He worked on a pulling unit for Kizzar Well Servicing Inc. in Chase, KS for several years. Tommy served in the Kansas National Guard from 1988 to 1991, and the United States Navy from 1991-1994.. He is survived by his mother, Opal Smith of Sterling; father, Lawrence and Sara Prebble of Hutchinson; son, Michael Prebble of McPherson; three daughters, Elizabeth and Brittany Prebble, both of McPherson, and JoJo Prebble of Missouri; five brothers, Larry Prebble of Hutchinson, Andy and Dori Prebble of Sterling, Alan Prebble of Sterling, Curtis and Robert Prebble, both of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons with military honors by the Sterling Legion. In Lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the Tommy Prebble Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
