Russell Eugene Sutton

Russell Eugene Sutton, 77, of Nickerson, passed away October 16, 2019 at his home. He was born June 18, 1942 in Hutchinson, the son of Charles Sutton and Louella M. Harding. Russell has resided in Nickerson for the past 30 years, formerly of Hutchinson. He worked at PMS, Hutchinson as an extruder operator from 1974 until 1990. Russell was a member of Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson. On July 12, 1961, Russell was united in marriage with Katherine Mae Kelley at First Christian Church, Hutchinson. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his five sons, Robert Sutton of Nickerson, Troy Sutton and wife Crystal of Sterling, KS, Russell Sutton Jr. and wife Lori of Lyons, KS, Chris Sutton of McPherson, KS, and Brandon Sutton of Haven, KS; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Ray Sutton, and Robert Sutton; and sister, Montzella McKenzie. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson with Pastor Kevin Guffey officiating.  Memorials may be given to Russell E. Sutton Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
