Robert (Bob) Dimitt went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2018, at the Hospice House in Lyons, Kansas. Robert Eugene Dimitt was born August 5, 1962 in Kingston, New York to Donald Gene Dimitt, Sr. and Nina (Samms) Dimitt. He resided in Chase, Kansas since 1988. For the past nine years he was a resident of Rosewood Services of Great Bend. Bob was always full of jokes and pranks, always smiling even on his worse days. He had a big heart and was a “tough bird” as he would say. Bob enjoyed fishing, games, country music, and crossword puzzles. He was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. He is survived by three sisters, T.J. (Bill) Tatro and Bonnie Babcock, all of Chase; Donna Denio of Preston; two brothers Bruce (Opal) Dimitt of Chase, and Donald (Lisa) Dimitt, Jr. of Lyons; and girlfriend, Lindsey of Great Bend. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother Steve Dimitt, sister Vicki Weed, four nephews and one niece. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be set at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cancer Foundation or to the family in c/o Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, Kansas.
