Pascual DeLaTorre Jr.

Pascual DeLaTorre Jr., 80, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away September 4, 2019 at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons. He was born March 15, 1939 in Lyons, the son of Pascual and Isabel Barrientos DeLaTorre. Pascual graduated from San Lorenzo High School, San Lorenzo, California. He was a Lyons resident since 2011, formerly of Hayward, California. Pascual was a waterfront forklift operator. He served in the United States Marines from September 19, 1956 until September 18, 1962. He attended First Baptist Church, Lyons; and was a member of the AA program, and has been sober for the past 38 years. On August 12, 1998, Pascual was united in marriage with Jeanet Morales in Reno, Nevada. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his step-father and mother, Johnny and Isabel Cadena of Lyons; step-children, Larnelle, Tyge, and Bonnie all of California. He is preceded in death by his father in 1972. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Lyons with Pastor Joel Grizzle officiating. Burial will be at Lyons Municipal Cemetery with military honors by the United States Marines Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Lyons in care of Birzer Funeral Home.
