Sally,
I thought I'd left a note when viewing this earlier in the month, but guess I didn't. i'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a sweet, dignified (but could have fun too!) lady. I appreciate all the help she gave to events such as FHA when we were in high school.. May the Lord give you peace and strength in the coming days.

I hope leaving a message twice is okay, but when I posted the first message on here, I was at the Sterling cemetary and I forgot a couple things I wanted to write. Sorry I couldn’t make it over for your mom’s service and say hi to you. You were one of my favorite classmates, and I just wanted to let you know that. Second thing, when my mom passed away in 2009, the most heartfelt note we received was from Norma. They knew each other as kids, and were friends. She had such nice things to say about mom in our time of grief, it really meant a lot to us. This speaks volumes about the kind of person your mother was, and we sure appreciated it. Take care

Sorry for your loss. Norma was sure a great lady, and always very cheerful and nice. I loved hearing her sing in the chancel choir at church, even as I was misbehaving and drawing the ire of Mrs. Erskine. I also remember you having a slumber party with a bunch of girls, and we sneaked over from the Fulton’s house to spy, only to be discovered and run off by your mom. Our high school class had some of the greatest fun parents, and Norma was sure one of the best.

Oh Paul, it was so nice to hear from you and some old familiar stories. Mrs Eskine. We did have to toe the line. Thank you for the kind words. It makes me feel so happy to hear how mother wa remembered in such a wonderful way. I really appreciate you reaching out. Mentioning the Fulton’s—that was certainly a life lost too soon. Scott, too, was a good friend.

Sally Ann, Your Mom was truly a delightful, charismatic, and funny lady! I'm certain that she remained that way through all of her 93 years of living and loving. She will always hold a special place in your heart. May she rest in peace and love. Andi

I am so sorry to hear about Norma. I only knew her for a brief amount of time, in that time I grew very found of her. I even took a selfie with her on Sunday. She was a Very Sweet Lady, always had a smile on her face and something kind to say. I will miss her .
