K. John Knight

K. John Knight, 55, of Lyons, Kansas, passed away June 26, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society, Lyons. He was born October 21, 1963 in Lyons, the son of Kenneth and JoAnna McCoy Knight. He graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1981. John grew up in Lyons and lived most of his adult life in Independence, Missouri, moving back to Lyons in 2013. He was co-owner of Natural Nutrition of Blue Springs, Missouri. John has attended Faith Bible Church, Lyons since 2013. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Chiefs. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Knight and wife Tamara of Lyons; son, Kenneth “Eddie” Knight and wife Hannah of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Alyse Knight of San Diego, CA; step-daughter, Erica Knight of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Mark Knight and wife Sherri of Lyons; sister, Kathryn Maxwell and husband Mark of Manhattan, KS; sister-in-law, Susie Knight of Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, JoAnna Knight; brother, Phillip Knight; and sister, Judith “Judy” Knight. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Faith Bible Church, Lyons with Pastor Phil Green officiating. Burial will be at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Visitation will be 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2019 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association Central and Western Chapter in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
