Glenn Little Obituary

Glenn Loyd Little, 86, of Sterling, passed September 15, 2018 at Sterling Presbyterian Manor. He was born February 2, 1932 in Haviland, Kansas, the son of Loyd W.and Mabel O. Smith Little. Glenn has resided in Sterling since 1996, formerly of Santa Maria, CA. He worked as a security guard for Overland Investigation Bureau for 20 years. Glenn was a member of CrossPoint Church, Sterling and lifetime member of the American Legion, most recently with the Sterling American Legion Post 128. Glenn served in the United States Army from October 16, 1952 to September 25, 1954, attaining the rank of Private First Class. On October 27, 1957, Glenn was united in marriage with Emma L. Hearn. She preceded him in death on November 3, 1994. He is also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harold Roy Little, and sister, Georgia Little Scantlin. He is survived by his daughter, Glenna Treadway of Broken Arrow, OK; two step sons, Roy and Gene McBroom; step-daughter, Donna Johnston; brothers, Virgil Little of Camas Valley, OR, Marion Little of Lawton, OK, and Vernon Little of Trinidad, CO; sisters, Audrey Dixon of Solomon, KS, Arlene Jacob of Sterling, KS, Mary Belle Mayes of Woodburn, OR , Bethal Little of Los Lunes, NM, and Charlotte Moore of Ft. Collins, CO; eleven grandchildren, Victoria, Peyton, Ronnie, Michelle, Robert, Rebecca, Melinda, Michelle, Michael John, Brian Keith, and John; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at CrossPoint Church, Sterling with Pastor Michael Gray officiating and military honors by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard and the Sterling American Legion. The family suggest everyone to either wear red, white, or blue for the service. Memorials can be made to CrossPoint Church, Sterling or American Cancer Society for cancer research in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
