Delmar L. Conner, 83, of Lyons, passed away May 20, 2019 at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, Kansas. He was born on January 29, 1936 in Lyons, the son of Lester and Helen Mayos Conner. Delmar graduated from Lyons High School with the class of 1954, and later received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Kansas State University. He was a lifelong Lyons resident. Delmar was a retired farmer and dairyman. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lyons; Farm House Fraternity; AMPI (Associated Milk Producers, Inc.); and lifetime member of Holstein Friesian Association of Kansas. On August 17, 1957, Delmar was united in marriage with Noema Braman in El Dorado, Kansas. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his daughters, Gina Rugan and husband Gene of Lyons, and Erin Conner-DeSilvey and husband Bill of Gypsum, KS; son, Craig Conner of Lyons; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Lyons Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Ted Weis officiating. Memorials may be given to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
