Daisy June (Cannon) Horn

Daisy June Horn, 95, of Sterling, passed away January 9, 2018, in Wichita, with family at her side. She was born December 31, 1922 in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Logan and Bertha Schmidt Cannon. She graduated from Pratt High School. June has resided in Sterling most of her life. She enjoyed being a member of many clubs and organizations in Sterling and Lyons. She loved planning social events and parties. Family was important to her and she especially loved her children, grandchildren and friends. In 1945, June was united in marriage with Robert Horn in Pratt, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1995. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lynn Cannon; and sister, Verona Gottschalk. She is survived by her sons, Richard Horn of Kansas City, KS. and David Horn (Kimberly Holcomb) of Wichita, KS.; daughters, Candy Crandall of Wichita, KS., Roberta Horn of Shawnee, KS.; and two grandchildren, Derek and Chad Crandall. Celebration of Life service will be at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, Sterling with Pastor Jeff Miller officiating. Burial will be at Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Sterling or Victory in the Valley care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
