Colt Tomlin Obituary

Colt William Tomlin, 28, of Little River, passed away June 22, 2018 in Salinas, Puerto Rico. He was born April 11, 1990 in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Charles Tomlin and Christy Weis. He graduated from Little River High School with the class of 2008 and Pratt Community College in 2010, where he received an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Electrical Power Technology. Colt ran track for Pratt Community College for two years. Colt was a lifelong Little River resident. He worked as an electrical lineman for Bird Electric of Midland, Texas. Colt loved riding his Harley motorcycle and was an outdoor enthusiast. He is survived by his father, Charles Tomlin; mother, Christy Weis and husband Bob of Little River, KS; brother, Cooper Weis of Little River, KS; sister, Carley Tomlin of Little River, KS; and half-brother, Jake Tomlin of Little River, KS; maternal grandmother, Connie Allen of Hutchinson; paternal grandparents, Jan Tomlin of Little River, KS, and Shirley Weis of Laurie, MO; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his fiancé, Haley Weinhold; maternal grandfather, Chris Allen; paternal grandfathers, Bill Tomlin and Carl Weis. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Congregational Church, Little River, with Pastor Ted Weis officiating. Burial will be at Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Congregational Church, Little River with family present. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Carley and Cooper Education Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
