Betty Jo (Campbell) Birka

Betty J. Birka, 94, of Little River, passed away June 12, 2018 at Hospice House of Hutchinson. She was born on October 11, 1923 in Kanopolis, Kansas, the daughter of George and Georgia Campbell. On February 10, 1942, Betty was united in marriage with Joe Birka in Salina, Kansas. He preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents; and son, Garland Birka. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly and husband George Friesen; grandsons, George and wife Tammy Friesen and Allen Birka; granddaughter, Stefanie and husband John Griggs; and four great-grandsons. Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Bean Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Ted Weis officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Friday, June 15, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials can be made to Betty Birka Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
