Alan Lee Schwerdtfeger

Alan Lee Schwerdtfeger, 61, of Lindsborg, passed away April 20, 2019 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born January 16, 1958 in Ellinwood, Kansas, the son of Leonard and Oteka Murray Schwerdtfeger. He attended school in Bushton and Chase, Kansas. He has resided in Lindsborg, Kansas since 2017, formerly of McPherson and Bushton. Alan worked at MCDS, in McPherson for many years. He was a member of the Bushton United Methodist Church. Alan enjoyed watching movies, cats, going fishing, and listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash. The family would like to thank MCDS for all the loving care Alan received and for the lifelong friendships he made. He is survived by his brothers, Glenn and Carolyn Schwerdtfeger of Columbus, OH, and Lennie and Gwyn Schwerdtfeger of Roseville, MI; sister, Crystal and Howard Behnke of Lyons, KS; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Faith Bible Church, Lyons with Pastor Phil Green officiating. Burial will be at the Bushton Cemetery, Bushton, Kansas. Memorials may be given to MCDS in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
