Aileen Louise Neal

Aileen Louise Neal, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away January 2, 2019 at Houston Northwest Medical Center, Houston, Texas. She was born June 28, 1927 in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest M. and Hazel Biddle Neal. She attended Chase High School, Chase, Kansas and graduated from Sequoia High School in Redwood City, California with the class of 1945. Aileen has resided in Houston for the past 24 years, formerly of Wichita, Kansas. She was an administrative assistant for Civil Services and Armed Forces from 1968, until retiring in 1995. Aileen was a member of Spring United Methodist Church, Houston, Texas. Aileen was married to Arbis Shipley from 1945 until 1974, and to Louis Manchon from 1974 until 1984. She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Wells and husband Richard of Orlando, FL., Trenise Jones of Houston, TX; and son, Kevin Shipley of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Courtney Fusco and husband John, Andrew Wells, Kelsey Jones, Daren Shipley and Brian Shipley and wife Jennifer; and one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Shipley. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Shipley; three brothers, Jack, Errol and Gene Neal; and two sisters, Margie Parten and Melva Wynn. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with Pastor Kim Shank officiating. Burial will be at Chase Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with family present. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
