Sharon Marie (Jacobs) White

Sharon Marie Jacobs (Getchell) White, 74, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away April 19, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born March 16, 1950, in Hays, Kansas, the daughter of Al and Colleta (Kisner) Jacobs. Sharon has resided in Warsaw, MO since 2014. She graduated from Geneseo High School, Geneseo, KS with the class of 1968, and received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and education from Marymount College, Salina, KS in 1972. Sharon was a registered nuclear medicine tech, retiring in 2014. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Warsaw, MO. On June 10, 2000, Sharon was united in marriage with Kenneth Lyle White at the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, KS. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth White of Warsaw, MO; two daughters, Ann Koehn (Ben) of Moundridge, KS, and Sara Getchell (Michael) of Newton, KS; sister, Dianna “Jake” Lange of Lyons, KS; three grandchildren, Jacob, Nicole, and Olivia; three stepchildren, Holly McFadden (Greg), Travis White, Justin White; and step-granddaughter, Jaycee Brown. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Geneseo Cemetery, Geneseo, KS, with Father Michael Brungardt officiating. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons, KS, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Warsaw, MO, American Cancer Society or Hospice House of Hutchinson, in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
