Ural G. “Jack” Clair 86 died on December 4, 2016 at Ellinwood District Hospital. Born to Thomas and Frieda Ingerham Clair, October 10, 1930 in rural Edwards County, Kansas. An Ellinwood resident since 1950, he was the owner of Jack’s Welding retiring in 1995. He graduated from Lewis High School in 1948. A Veteran of the United States Navy serving on
the USS Henderson during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church,
3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 1187, Heritage Club, lifetime member of VFW and American Legion, volunteer Senior Citizen Bus driver, all of Ellinwood; Eagles
Club, Elks Club both of Great Bend; Sunflower Polka Club
He married Jeanette Kowalsky, November 27, 1952 in San Francisco, CA., she died October 2, 1987. He married Bernita K. Urban Schloemer in Ellinwood, she died April 27, 2015.
Survivors are 3 Sons, Gary & Jean Clair, Great Bend, Larry Clair & Debbie Tammen, Kevin &
Gina Clair both of Ellinwood; Daughter, Janice & Steve Birzer, of Ellinwood; 6 Grandchildren,
Shawn & Amanda Clair, Shane Clair, Cole & Karah Birzer, Kelsey & Brandon Yeakley, Cody
Clair, Connor Birzer; 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Mass, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood with Father Terrance Klein officiating. Visitation, 1:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. with Parish Vigil and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Lakin Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood.
