Shawn Belanger Obituary

Shawn Micheal Belanger, 41, of Lyons, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his residence in Lyons. He was born May 10, 1976 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Micheal Belanger and Beverly Choate Reed. Shawn has resided in Lyons for the past twenty three years, formerly of Pensacola, Florida. He graduated from Lyons High School. Shawn had previously worked for Kuhn Krause in Hutchinson as a welder. He attended the SaltCity Cowboy Church in Hutchinson and was a member of the Saddle Club. Shawn is survived by his parents, Kendall and Beverly Reed of Lyons; son, Kebren Julian of Lyons; two daughters, Cheyenne and Sage Belanger, both of Lyons; two sisters, Jamie Pevy of Hutchinson, and April White of Pensacola, Florida; and grandmother, Florence Choate of Lyons. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Choate, and grandmother, Billie Jacobson. Memorials can be made to the Shawn Micheal Belanger Memorial Fund in care of Birzer Funeral, Lyons.
