Donna Lou (Clites) Kelso

Donna Lou Kelso, 85, of Lyons, passed away November 20, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society, Lyons. She was born February 14, 1932 in Virgil, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Vera Riebe Clites. Donna graduated from Chase High School. She was a lifelong Chase resident. She was a member of Chase Christian Church and Chase Ladies Pinnacle Club. Donna was a grade school secretary in Chase for many years. She also worked at the bank in Chase before working as a secretary for Kelso Casing Pulling. On May 16, 1952, Donna was united in marriage to Darrell R. Kelso in Chase, KS. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Betty Thornton. Donna is survived by her son, Mike and Tina Kelso; and daughter Terri Feil, both of Chase, KS; sister, Vicki Smith of Oilton, OK; grandchildren; Heather Pilcher of Salina, Bruce Kelso of Lyons, Zachary Spangler of Chase, Curtis Kelso of Lyons, Ashley Kelso of Florida; great grandchildren, Aidan and Landen Pilcher of Salina, Falyn and Zeke Spangler of Chase, Emma and Jaxon Kelso of Lyons. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 24, 2017 at Chase Springdale Cemetery, Chase, KS. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons with the family present. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Good Samaritan Society, Lyons in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
