Clarice Viola Phillips, 102, of Sterling, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2018 at Sterling Presbyterian Manor. She was born December 28, 1915 in Kiowa County, Colorado, the daughter of Arthur H. and Rosanna Elvira Crim North. Clarice has resided in Sterling since October 31, 1964, formerly of Alden, KS. She was a homemaker and nurse aid. Clarice was a charter member of the Assembly of God Church in Sterling. On August 1, 1934, Clarice was united in marriage with Claudie Ray Phillips in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1999. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Vernon Phillips, and infant son, Leon Phillips; three daughters, Lillian Spradley, Mary Hites, and Wanda Doran; and two grandsons. Clarice is survived by her daughter, Sarah and Myron Seitz of Branson, MO; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling with Pastor Kendal Connor officiating. Burial will be at Alden Valley Cemetery, Alden, KS. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday, February 19, 2018 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to Assembly of God Church, Sterling or Community Chest in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
