Betty Jean Lewis LeShore

Ms. Betty Jean Lewis LeShore, Born August 12, 1956, departed this life for her Eternal Life on September 24, 2016 at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas.  Betty was raised in Orrville, Alabama and graduated from Keith High School in the class of 1974.  Later she moved to Lyons, Ks. becoming a long time resident for over 35 years.  Betty was baptized at an early age at Providence Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership of R. L. Flower where her membership is still present.  She was employed with North American Salt of Lyons for 36 years and was still present before exchanging life.  She was beautiful, intelligent young lady with a vibrant smile and a generous heart of gold and being an organ donor giving others a chance to celebrate life.  Her talent and memories for playing softball, volleyball and bowling will live on forever  though out the community.

She was preceded in by her Parents, Ivory and Alberta Franklin LeShore; 2 Sisters, Frances LeShore, Ceola LeShore Brown; Brother, Walter LeShore, Step-son, Carlos Renteria.  She leaves to cherish a lifetime companion who loved her dearly for 30 years, Jessie Renteria, two children, Oscar Lewis and Monique Blair, 6 Grandchildren, Taija, Jerrel, Shi Ann, Willow, Olivia, Yolanda;  4 Sisters, Virginia LeShore, Brooklyn, N.Y., Arlene (Furman) Shaw, Avondale, La., Dorothy (Leon) Blackman, Barbara Jean LeShore, both of Orrville, Ala.;  7 Brothers, Ivory (Ethel) LeShore Jr., Allen LeShore, Aaron (Bertha) LeShore, all of Mobile, Ala., Mose (Shirley) LeShore, Hutchinson, Willie LeShore, Great Bend, Jimmy  (Michelle) LeShore, Jessie (Tracy) LeShore, both of Hutchinson; 2 Nephews, John LeShore, Ronnie (Staci) LeShore, Niece, Brenda Diane LeShore,  who were raised as her brothers and sister.  A host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews too numerous to count.  Longtime childhood Friends/Cousin, Dorothy LeShore and Willie Mae Williams and the community of Lyons, Ks., and Orrville, Ala.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church, Orrville, Ala., Rev. Gregory Williams officiating.  Burial in Providence  Baptist Church Cemetery, Orrville, Ala.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, Kansas
