Arlin "Bud" M Bernhardt

Arlin M. “Bud” Bernhardt 62, died June 21, 2016 at Hutchinson. He was born June 11, 1954 at Hillsboro to Herbert and Mildred Backhus Bernhardt. He was a lifetime resident of Lyons, graduating Lyons High School, class of 1972.  He was a Grain Elevator Supervisor and a farmer, a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Church Board of Education, Lyons; United States Bowling Conference.  He married Cheryl L. Maxwell, November 23, 1974 at Lyons. Survivors include his Wife Cheryl, of the home; Son, Josh Bernhardt, Lorraine; 2 Daughters, Heather Gibson Ibbotson, Delavan, Ill., Jenny & Terrence Gavagan, Cheyenne, Wy.; 3 Brothers, Mike Bernhardt, Lyons, Ben & Julie Bernhardt, Pittsburg, Doug & Tracy Bernhardt, Olpe;  Sister, Jane & Robert Schneider, Madison; Grandchildren, Jonathon, Carson, Claire. Preceded in death by his Parents, Father-in-law, Elva Maxwell & Grandson, Marcus Gibson

Funeral Service will be 3:00 P.M., Friday, June 24, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, Lyons with Pastor Merlyn Lohrke officiating. Burial in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation 12:00 noon until service time on Friday at the church.  Memorial are to Grace Lutheran Church or Habitat for Humanity Restore in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons
